AKAST e.V. - Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Canonical Study Programmes
AKAST was the only one of the currently ten agencies accredited in Germany to be re-accredited again according to the old law by the Accreditation Council; the corresponding documents and resolutions can be found on this page. Profile of the agency
Accreditation of theological study programmes qualifying for the pastorate, the priesthood or the profession of pastoral officer (see clauses 3 and 8 of the "Cornerstones for the Structure of Studies in Study Programmes with Catholic or Protestant Theology/Religion" of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Länder in the Federal Republic of Germany of 13 December 2007) as well as of Bachelor's and Master's study programmes at German universities whose degrees have canonical effect.
